2026 Parish Partner: Saints John and Paul
Serving our neighbors in need is something parishioners at Ss. John and Paul Parish in Altoona, IA, do without hesitation. Their support and involvement with Catholic Charities reflect their commitment to spreading love and compassion to all.
Ss. John and Paul offer many opportunities for parishioners to get involved and make a difference. Through their partnership with Catholic Charities, parish-run collections have supported clients across different programs. Parishioners also volunteer their time at the Catholic Charities Food Pantry.
In 2025, six individual parishioners each donated more than 100 hours of service to the food pantry, totaling nearly 800 hours combined. This generous commitment of time and service has allowed the food pantry to serve more individuals and families facing hunger in our community.
Ss. John and Paul Parish will be honored at the 10th Annual Shamrocks and Shenanigans event on Saturday, March 7, 2026, for their partnership and support of Catholic Charities. Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to celebrate Ss. John and Paul and other dedicated parish partners who make this work possible.
Through faithful service and generous hearts, Ss. John and Paul Parish continue to live out the Gospel by caring for neighbors in need. Catholic Charities is deeply grateful for its partnership and steadfast commitment to serving others.
