Social justice and unity in support of the common good.
A Statement from our Executive Director
“We cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life.”
~ Pope Francis, June 3, 2020
At Catholic Charities, our mission teaches us about social justice and unity in support of the common good:
- to serve all people,
- to love and care for our neighbor,
- to respect the dignity of every human person, and
- to work for peace and justice.
Today, the Good Samaritan parable provides a powerful reflection on “who is my neighbor.” Through our individual and collective actions, we can and do make a difference in service and support to every person we encounter and to our community.
Please view our website and Facebook for shared statements in solidarity with our Catholic Charities colleagues.
In gratitude, Barbara Q. Decker, Executive Director
