Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting– Catholic Charities Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Program
Council Bluffs, Iowa (June 5, 2017) – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Des Moines, a United Way agency, is pleased to announce a grand re-opening of its Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program facility in Council Bluffs.
Join us for a grand re-opening celebration with a ribbon cutting by the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce, food and drinks, and tours of the new renovations to our facility.

Parking at our facility is limited. Extra parking is available in the neighborhood.

We strive for continuous improvement of our programs, and the updates and remodeling in our Council Bluffs facility will benefit our clients and staff,” said Nancy Galeazzi, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Des Moines.
“We are pleased with the building updates and reconfigured spaces. We will better serve our clients with a new in-house counseling office, more meeting rooms, and updated play-room. We appreciate all the local partnerships and donors that allowed us to make this all happen, notably the Iowa West Foundation and the Council Bluffs Housing Trust Fund,” said Diane McKee, Catholic Charities Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program Manager.

The program offers 24-hour crisis line, 24-bed emergency shelter, housing advocacy, court advocacy, round the clock hospital response, individual counseling, educational groups, prevention education and awareness activities, and outreach to underserved population throughout 9 counties in Southwest Iowa surrounding Council Bluffs.
